Mahesh Rijal is a public health professional with five years of experience in Nepal’s development and health sector. He is currently a Field Coordinator at Shangri-La Development Association (SDA), Makawanpur. He holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health and a PCL in General Medicine, both earned through merit-based full scholarships from the Government of Nepal. Mahesh has experience in HIV programs, field coordination, community engagement, stakeholder communication, and project management through roles in research, district hospitals, and NGOs/INGOs. At Shangri-La, he focuses on supporting vulnerable communities and promoting Universal Health Coverage. He enjoys music, exploring new places, and reading research articles.

Dhan Bahadur Moktan from Kailash-7, Bilauni, has been working as an Education staff for six years. He uses his skills and experience to work with local government and focal persons to ensure child-friendliness and quality education. As someone who started his professional career as a teacher, Dhan continues to promote a sustainable education system in schools in his community. He believes that the absence of quality education means endangering our own future.

Shiva Kumar Praja is a pacifist who focuses on creating a peaceful working environment. As a skilled sociologist, he has contributed to various social changes since 2010 in association with different NGOs/INGOs. One of the Education Staff of SDA Shiva is a calm, confident and adaptive person.

Puran Bahadur Khadka, an energetic youth from Achham District of Sudurpaschim Province, has been working as an Agriculture Staff for around three years. Friendly, hardworking and active learner, Puran has good experiences in Organic Farming, Off-Seasonal Farming, Community Participation Programs, Veterinary Science and more.

Born and raised in Kailash Rural Municipality itself, Chameli first connected with SDA in 2020, when she enrolled in an 18-month Veterinary Course under the SDA Vocational Support Program. Following that, she completed her On-the-Job Training with the SDA Agriculture Project. Today, she is a proud member of the SDA team as the Health Social Mobilizer, coordinating between SDA and different health posts of its project areas conducting health meetings, awareness programs, and so on.

Laxmi Maya Chepang is known for her extraordinary culinary skills. She is the person behind preparing delicious meals at Literacy Home. A woman of a strong mind, Laxmi has been serving SDA since its beginning.

Simplistic and reserved Samjhana begins her daily routine by feeding fresh grass to the cattle, watering vegetables, and cleaning the surroundings at SDA Agriculture Land. A mother of four, Samjhana contributes to growing organic fruits and vegetables at SDA Agriculture land. The grown foods get sent to the SDA Literacy Home and supported schools.
